Get trained on Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
What you get
You will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorder.
You will learn the 5-step action plan to help someone who is developing a mental health challenge or is experiencing a crisis.
You will be provided with resources for assisting those with mental health challenges.
Those who complete the course will be provided with a certificate of completion of the Adult Mental Health First Aid USA course from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
Participant Guides will be provided for each attendee.
How it works
Jack Bruce is a certified instructor in both the Adult and Youth curriculum of MHFA. He has trained hundreds of C-suite leaders, Human Resources professionals, supervisors, managers, and other employees in various industries including construction, education, healthcare, retail, and security.
The training consists of 2 hours of self-paced, online pre-course work and 6.5 hours of in-person training, including lunch and breaks. Class size is limited to 30 participants for each training.
